Michael Lee Vinson, Sr., age 64 and a resident of Huntington, formerly of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, October 25th at 2:16 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born on September 30, 1954 in Wabash, he was the son of Omer Vinson, Sr. and Peggy Ann (Culver) Vinson. He was a 1974 graduate of Wabash High School. On September 24, 1982, he was married to the former Helen “Jean” Bowen who preceded him in passing on March 16, 1997.
An honorably discharged veteran of the US Army National Guard, Michael enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He was known for his kind, helpful personality.
Left behind is a host of friends and family including son, Michael Vinson, Jr., of Mitchell, IN; brothers: LeRoy (Heather) Vinson of Rotunda West, FL, Omer (Jaime) Vinson, Jr. of Fort Wayne and Kenneth Vinson of Wabash; sister, Kathy White of Wabash; and step-mother, Peggy Vinson of Wabash. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Kyra, Kaylin and Kylie Vinson – all of Bedford, IN. He was preceded in passing by his father, mother and wife.
