Known for his work ethic and his friendly demeanor, Loren worked for Zimmer as a tool cutter grinder. He also owned L & M Tool Sharpening though he was a man of many talents. He enjoyed gardening, often sharing the fruits of his labor, and fishing. He also enjoyed time spent with friends, dinner out and adored time spent with his family especially his grandchildren And great-grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Winona Lake, teaching Sunday School for many years. He also played trumpet and sang in a trio with his brother and cousin.

Those who survive with memories to cherish include his wife, Phyllis Munson of Claypool; daughter, Lorena (Gary) Jameson of Shepherdsville, KY; grandsons: Eric (Luci) Jameson of Jeffersontown, KY and Travis Jameson of Shepherdsville; two brothers, Max Munson of Warsaw and David (Margaret) Munson of Claypool; and sister, Arlene Ryan of North Webster.
