Obituary

Leora (Arnett) (Prater) Bradley, age 92 and a resident of North Manchester, took the hand of the Lord, passing from Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:10 p.m.

Born in Goodloe, Floyd County, Kentucky on November 18, 1926, Leora was one of seven children born to Lee Arnett and Nancy (England) Arnett. She grew up in Floyd County, Kentucky and spent most of her adult life in the North Manchester area.

Leora was married to Hebert Prater on March 9, 1946. The pair was married for more than twenty-five years and started a family which includes four children: Ronnie, Mary Lou, Kathy, and Ruby. Hebert preceded Leora in passing on June 1, 1971. She was blessed to find love twice and was married to Claude Bradley on August 14, 1982. Claude also preceded Leora on July 17, 2010.

Leora was a kind, loving woman of faith who was full of the joy of the Lord. She was a hugger and rarely seen without a smile. A mother and grandmother with a homemaker’s heart, Leora was a good cook and baker. She was a quilter of exceptional skill and sewed, making her children’s clothing when they were young. She also enjoyed gardening of both flowers and vegetables.

Those who survive include her son, Ronnie (Bianca) Prater of Claypool; daughters, Mary Lou (Larry) Marshall, Kathy (David) Terrel and Ruby (Ronald) Hunt - all of North Manchester; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and brother, Bill Arnett of Winona Lake. She was preceded in death by brothers: Corbin Arnett, Joe Arnett and Oliver Arnett; and sisters: Nora Slone and Grace Bays.

Friends may join family for visitation from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5th at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street in Warsaw. A funeral service which celebrates Leora’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday by Pastor Justin Harshman in Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, 303 South Jefferson Street (SR 15) in Silver Lake. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God.
