Julane “Julie” (Sprague) Baggett, of rural Pierceton, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in her home.

Born on January 4, 1951, she had recently celebrated her 69th birthday. She was the daughter of Lou Sprague and Margie (Lane) Sprague and one of four Sprague children. She was born in Warsaw and attended Warsaw High School where she graduated with the class of 1969.

A devoted Christian, Julie was a feisty, fun-loving person with a playful but ornery streak. She had a good sense of humor and was a lover of all kinds of music. Her favorites include Stevie Nicks, Mercy Me and anything gospel.

Those who survive with memories to cherish include three children: sons, Jason (Sheila) Mauk of Pierceton and Matt (Randi Tinsley) Mauk of Winona Lake; daughter, Stacey (Lisa Reyes) Mauk of Fort Wayne and mother, Margie Sprague of Parker City. Also surviving are four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two brothers, Brad and Scott Sprague. She was preceded in passing by her father, Lou Sprague and brother, Mark Sprague.

A private graveside service will be held in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting with memorial gifts directed to Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906 Warsaw, Indiana 46581.

I got to spend almost a year helping Julane. I got to know her and we quickly became friends. She often spoke of her mother, children and grandchildren and many other family members and friends. I want to thank her family for allowing me to be a part her life and I'm so sorry for your loss. Mine and my husband's prayers are with you all.
