Obituary

Iris E. Nuell, age 92 of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at home after a short illness. She was the daughter of Walter and Ruby (Reed) Seitner.

Born on October 21, 1927, Iris was a 1945 graduate of Mentone High School. She was married to the late Mark Nuell on December 25, 1946 and they made their home in Warsaw. To their union, two children were born – Dee and Joni.

Family meant the world to Iris. She was a proud homemaker with a love for people and helping others. She was known for her compassion and for the zeal with which she lived her life. She was a longtime member of Church of God where she was always willing to help. Iris easily adopted the church family as her own and is lovingly remembered for teaching Sunday School and for helping in the nursery, among many other things.

Iris touched the lives of so many. A list of her closest survivors includes son, Dee Nuell of Warsaw; daughter, Joni (Gary) Kinder-Uptigrove of East Lansing, MI; grandson, Jeremy (Jennifer) Kinder of Warsaw granddaughters, Kathy Savieo of Algonquin, IL and Sherrie (Don) Cahill of Fort Wayne; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Wuchter of Warsaw and many nieces and nephews.

On June 6, 2004, Iris was preceded in passing by her husband, Mark E. Nuell. Also preceding her in passing were brother, Carl Seitner; sister, Sandra Kimes; grandson, Mark T. Nuell and her parents.

The family will welcome visitors at Warsaw Church of God, 1059 Rozella Road, on Friday, January 10th from 10 a.m. until Noon when Pastor Tim Kumfer and Pastor Jerry Yoder(ret.) will officiate a funeral which celebrates Iris’ life. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Her Life Celebration® was entrusted to Titus Funeral Home.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Warsaw Church of God and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.TitusFuneralHome.com
