Brenda Sue Jones, 70 years old of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in her home.

Born on March 9, 1949 in Wofford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William A. and Beulah (Green) Lane. She was a graduate of Anderson County High School in Kentucky and lived most of her life there. Seven years ago, she moved to the Warsaw area to be closer to her daughter.

To Brenda, faith and family was everything. She loved time spent with her grandchildren and loved the Lord. She was a charismatic, happy person who was rarely without a smile. This was fitting as Brenda worked for Edgewood Middle School in their cafeteria. She loved children and enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, reading and was a true photo-bug, always taking pictures.

Those who survive include son: Morgan (Patricia) Baxter of Owensboro, KY; daughter, Lastasha (Todd) Anderson of Leesburg; son, Shaun (Loren) Jones of Shelbyville, KY; and son, Matthew Jones of Lima, OH. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, sister, Betty Slusher and brother, William “Junior” Lane. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Ralph Ronald Jones (February 11, 2013); brother, Bud Lane and sister, LaVon Crutchfield.

A Life Celebration® is scheduled with Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw where friends may gather with the family on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. Condolences may be left for the family at

I am so sorry to hear about Brenda's passing. I just learned about it today from another friend of ours whose daughter saw it on Facebook. I hadn't seen her for a long time, but we were best of friends when we were teenagers, living in Lawrenceburg KY. I think the last time I saw her was at my dad's funeral in 2002, so as I said, it has been a while. We went to high school together and I lived down the street from Brenda during those years. We shared many happy times and secrets with each other. After high school, we lost touch with each other, working and having families of our own. It makes me sad that we let that happen. I know her family, other than Betty, does not know me, but I just wanted to tell you anyway what a great friend she was, and that I will miss her and her beautiful smile. I'm so glad that she is in heaven with our Lord. I'm sure she is still smiling. My sympathies to all of her family. Cheri Smith Lynn

Mama Jones was such a blessing to our family. Thank you for looking after our Mary after she moved to KY. Thank you for all the times you there at weddings and other special events. Thank you for being a shining light for Jesus. You are the one person I know who could make such an impact on every member of a multi-generational family. Till we meet again, dear Sister.

To the children and family of Brenda, We all are so sorry to hear of Brenda's Passing. She has been a Friend for a long time. We all have not seen each other for a long time but we still counted her as a good Friend. She was a Loving, Caring Person and will be missed by our bunch, as we called ourselves " the over the hill gang". Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of sadness.
Love and God Bless all of you.
