Anna Linn, a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 just after 11 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. Nearing her 100th birthday, she was 99 years old.

Anna was born on August 17, 1920 in Mishawaka. She was the daughter of Edmond Dosmann and Rosella (Sellers) Dosmann and attended Mishawaka High School. She would eventually make her home in Warsaw after marrying Clyde Linn on September 14, 1939. She would share nearly fifty years with Clyde before his 1986 passing.

Anna was a kind, caring person and a hardworker. She was a longtime member of the Thrifty-Fifty Home Ec. Club, was very active with the Kosciusko County Election Board and was a longtime attendee of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she was also very active with church events. Anna was a skilled seamstress who enjoyed sewing, crochet and embroidery Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially holidays and family meals.

Those who survive with memories to cherish include her daughter, Mary (husband, Ron) Gates of Warsaw and grandson, Kevin (wife, Regina) Gates of Warsaw. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. It was a beautiful service. I wish we could have been there in person to express how much we love Anna. Truly a special woman who made an impact on my life. She always loved to invite us in for a chat, her candy bowl was never empty and her laugh and smile were contagious. She was a treasure on earth and now a treasure in heaven. I look forward to a sweet reunion some day. Much love to Mary, Ron, Kevin and the whole family. Shelly (Manuel) Teders

Thanks so much for allowing us to attend virtually. Shelly and I were blessed with three sets of grandparents and we spent as much time on the farm as we did at home. I will always cherish the visits, taking a break under the shade trees during the summer for a glass of tea, and Anna always commenting on how tall I was. Last visit she said someone needs to put a brick on my head to stop me from getting so tall. 😀. I have a great photo of Clyde and Anna posing with a pitchfork like the painting American Gothic. I’ll be sure to share that. My condolences and sending a virtual hug.

Sincerely,

Marty L Manuel
